[Welcome Baby Irene Ephrata, PA]

Photographing newborn babies has got to be one of the best jobs in the whole world! A few weeks ago I made the trip out to Pennsylvania to visit my best friend from college, her husband and their perfect little angel, Irene. They were such a sweet little family!

I had been waiting for this day ever since I found out this little peanut was coming into the world! Before we could get started with photos however, Aunt Mitchy needed some snuggle time with Irene and it was the best ever.

Mom and dad are in the process of renovating their master suite, so I got the perfect spot in the house for Irene’s newborn photos. Any empty room with beautiful hardwood floors and TONS of natural light. The second I got up there, I knew it was going to be perfect.

We started off with some family photos and it was so amazing to see how in love these first time parents were with their little miracle. After photos with mom and dad, Irene was ready for her close up and she totally nailed it!

I had so much fun spending time with this family of three and capturing these first memories! Welcome to the world Irene!

[Brittania and Sam’s Rehearsal Dinner Seaside Park, NJ]

A few weeks ago I got to photograph my friend Brittania’s rehearsal dinner! It was so exciting getting to see the bride, groom and their friends and family get together for before the big day! Everyone was just so excited for what the next day would bring!

Sam and Brittania’s rehearsal dinner was held at the Park Pavilion in Seaside Park, NJ and it was gorgeous! We had a perfect, warm night and the sun was just setting when the guests were arriving; I even got the bride and groom to be to squeeze in some photos on the deck and it was adorable!

The evening came to an end with a super sweet toast made by Brittania, thanking everyone for coming and to honor her aunt and uncle who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! What a perfect way to start your wedding weekend!

[Kaitlyn’s Super Sweet 16 at the Primavera Regency in Stirling, NJ]

So it’s been a while since I’ve been to a Sweet 16 and man are they fun! It’s like a mini wedding but just to celebrate one amazing girl! I think I need a Sweet 30… 🙂

Kaitlyn’s Sweet 16 was absolutely gorgeous and held at the Primavera Regency. She looked more incredible than any princess and it was so fun capturing her special day. Before the party got started, we took pictures with her family and closest friends and they were all laughing and having a great time.

The night was complete with a photo booth, frozen pink drinks, a chocolate fountain and plenty of dancing. The best part of the night however was when Kaitlyn lit her candles that were dedicated to her friends and family. She shared really special memories and all 16 of her dedications were truly touching.

Happy Sweet 16 Kaitlyn!

[Wendy and Casper’s Romantic Wedding at the Smithtown Country Club Smithtown, NY]

There’s nothing better than getting to photograph a family wedding! Back in July, I got to photograph my Aunt’s sister’s wedding and even though we aren’t related by blood, we are still family! Wendy had always told me that she wanted me to photograph her big day, so when that day finally came I was so excited!

A bunch of my family and I made the trip to Long Island to celebrate Wendy and Casper! The weather was gorgeous, the church was quaint and I’ve never seen the bride and groom look happier. Casper and Wendy were married at the St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, where they have been long time members, and it was really special to witness their marriage in front of every important person in their life.

After their wonderful ceremony (during which I was fighting back tears) they were greeted by all of their guests and some fun confetti! We took photos in front of the church, then it was off to get the party started!

The reception took place at the Smithtown Country Club and it was the perfect intimate setting for the celebration of a great couple! There were special toasts and first dances, a fun photo booth and a great live band that kept the party going! And on top of all of this fun, I got to be with my family to celebrate Wendy and Casper.

It was such a great family weekend and I was so honored to get to photograph this amazing couple. Congratulations Wendy and Casper! I wish you both every happiness together as husband and wife!

[Kristen’s Whimsical Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower Howell, NJ]

Let me start off by saying if this isn’t the cutest theme for a baby shower, then I don’t know what is! I got to photograph this beautiful and sweet baby shower this summer and it was so much fun! Kristen was surrounded by her friends and family to celebrate her little peanut on the way and it was so exciting!

The house was decorated so beautifully with Disney, Winnie the Pooh, and sweet little baby clothes too! There were super fun games like guessing the baby’s due date, name that song with “Baby” in the title and my favorite, match the baby to the parents (Disney edition).

Everyone had so much fun playing the games and spending time with the beautiful mom to be on her special day!

[Family Photos Double Trouble State Park, NJ]

I’m pretty sad to see summer go, but I did get to have one last session with one of my favorite families at the beautiful Double Trouble State Park and it was awesome!

Hannah, JJ and mom and dad were all dressed perfectly for summer and they came ready to explore the park! Hannah was ready at any minute to strike a pose and she looked absolutely adorable! JJ on the other hand just wanted to see what was going on in the park! When we got him to smile or laugh however, it was literally so sweet!

I always have so much fun with this crew and it was the perfect way to spend one of the last days of summer!

[Family Beach Session Long Beach Island, NJ]

This past summer I got to work with some clients that I haven’t gotten to work with in a while…My family!! My dad’s side of the family got together this summer in Long Beach Island to have a celebration of life trip in honor of both of my grandparents. My grandfather passed away in December of 2014 and my grandmother passed away this past January.

This was the first time we have all been together since they both passed and it was a bittersweet vacation. I was grateful for the time we all got to spend together but it was hard knowing that my grandparents were no longer with us. We had an incredible time together though, hanging at the beach, cooking dinners at night together as a family and reminiscing of all the amazing times we shared with grandma and grandpa growing up!

We picked a night to head up to the beach after dinner to take our photos and the weather was perfect! Of course we planned in advance to be color coordinating! Afterwards, we headed to the Barnegat Lighthouse, a place where my grandparents loved, to watch the sunset together as a family.

Love you guys so much…East or West, family is the best!

[Welcome Baby Theresa Toms River, NJ]

She’s here! Welcome to the world sweet baby girl! I was so excited to photograph little Theresa with her mommy and daddy last week!

I’ve photographed many milestones in Geralyn and Patrick’s life, and every one of them has been incredible. This newborn session, however, was so amazing! Baby Theresa was absolutely perfect and it was so so sweet to see how in love her mommy and daddy were! Watching new parents with their little one is so special and I was so happy to capture these moments.

When I first met Baby Theresa, I instantly fell in love. I didn’t want to start our session because I just wanted to snuggle up with her all day long! We had a pretty long staring contest and when we realized she wasn’t sleepy enough to fall asleep, we put her in a tutu and crown to take pictures with mom and dad!

Afterwards, she must have been tired out because she fell right asleep, we swaddled her up and finished the rest of our session.

I love you already sweet Theresa Hope! Congratulations mom and dad on your perfect little angel!

[Family Beach Session Lavallette, NJ]

I just love a good beach session in the summer. I got to photograph this beautiful family a few weeks ago and we had the perfect weather! We did have to fight off some flies though, but we powered through!

I think my favorite part of this session was any time the adults were trying to make little Brianna laugh. They were dancing around, using silly voices and blowing bubbles and once this little angel started laughing, it was amazing!

This group was so much fun to photograph and spend a night on the beach with to take pictures! I’m holding on tight to summer with this session!

[Kim + Mike’s Sweet Summer Wedding Beachwood, NJ]

I first met Kim and Mike way back in March when we got together to discuss their upcoming wedding. And I can’t believe that their big day has come and gone already! Kim and Mike, along with their families, got married on a private ceremony on a boat! How cool is that?! The next day, they gathered together with even more friends and family to celebrate!

The reception was held at the Beachwood Community Center and we had a beautiful view of the river. We did have to fight off some rain, but mostly the weather was perfect and we had the best backdrop for photos. And rain on your wedding day is good luck right?! 🙂

Kim and Mike’s parents both made truly beautiful toasts and it was so great to see these two wonderful families coming together. There were first dances, of course, that were so sweet and plenty of clinking glasses to get Kim and Mike to kiss!

Everyone made their way to the dance floor and the dancing probably could have gone on all night! Kim and Mike both looked incredible and so happy together the whole day! Congratulations to the newlyweds! 🙂
