Earlier this summer I got to photograph one of the most beautiful and personal wedding ceremonies ever! Courtney and Dylan were married in a quaint gazebo in the heart of Spring Lake surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Courtney’s lifelong best friend and her boyfriend played the music for Courtney and her father to walk down the isle to and it was so special! Their friends and family sat in benches in the gazebo that perfectly surrounded Courtney and Dylan as they became husband and wife.
Dylan and Courtney exchanged vows, presented flowers to their parents and sealed it all with a sweet kiss!
After this touching ceremony, everyone gathered in front of the gazebo for photos and it was perfection! The weather was what every bride and groom dream of on their wedding day, so we didn’t really work up a sweat with all the photos we took!
This was a perfect day to celebrate the marriage of a beautiful couple. It was really special getting to witness this small ceremony and be part of this amazing day! Congratulations Courtney and Dylan!

[Wendy and Casper’s Romantic Wedding at the Smithtown Country Club Smithtown, NY] There’s nothing better than getting to photograph a family wedding! Back in July, I got to photograph my Aunt’s sister’s wedding and even though we aren’t related by blood, we are still family! Wendy had always told me that she wanted me to photograph her big day, so when that day finally came I was so excited! A bunch of my family and I made the trip to Long Island to celebrate Wendy and Casper! The weather was gorgeous, the church was quaint and I’ve never seen the bride and groom look happier. Casper and Wendy were married at the St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, where they have been long time members, and it was really special to witness their marriage in front of every important person in their life. After their wonderful ceremony (during which I was fighting back tears) they were greeted by all of their guests and some fun confetti! We took photos in front of the church, then it was off to get the party started! The reception took place at the Smithtown Country Club and it was the perfect intimate setting for the celebration of a great couple! There were special toasts and first dances, a fun photo booth and a great live band that kept the party going! And on top of all of this fun, I got to be with my family to celebrate Wendy and Casper. It was such a great family weekend and I was so honored to get to photograph this amazing couple. Congratulations Wendy and Casper! I wish you both every happiness together as husband and wife! -Michelle [Kim and Mike’s Sweet Summer Wedding Beachwood, NJ] I first met Kim and Mike way back in March when we got together to discuss their upcoming wedding. And I can’t believe that their big day has come and gone already! Kim and Mike, along with their families, got married on a private ceremony on a boat! How cool is that?! The next day, they gathered together with even more friends and family to celebrate! The reception was held at the Beachwood Community Center and we had a beautiful view of the river. We did have to fight off some rain, but mostly the weather was perfect and we had the best backdrop for photos. And rain on your wedding day is good luck right?! 🙂 Kim and Mike’s parents both made truly beautiful toasts and it was so great to see these two wonderful families coming together. There were first dances, of course, that were so sweet and plenty of clinking glasses to get Kim and Mike to kiss! Everyone made their way to the dance floor and the dancing probably could have gone on all night! Kim and Mike both looked incredible and so happy together the whole day! Congratulations to the newlyweds! 🙂 -Michelle [Geralyn and Patrick’s Beautifully Elegant Wedding New Hope, PA] I am so excited to finally share this beautiful wedding with you! In the beginning of November, I had the privilege of photographing Geralyn and Patrick’s wedding and it was absolutely perfect. Geralyn and her family have been very good friends of mine for quite some time, so getting to spend the day with them, and Patrick and his awesome family, was the best ever! Our day started bright and early at Geralyn’s childhood home which was decorated for the big day by her sweet mama! From bows on the stairs, to “Love” signs and candles on the dressers, everything was wedding day ready. It was a busy morning of hair, makeup and getting dressed but it was so much fun! Geralyn and Patrick were married at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their friends and family. Following their ceremony, the couple was greeted by everyone with bubbles and a champagne toast! We arrived at the Hotel du Village in New Hope for some family and bridal party photos, and then it was party time! There was a really fun set up at the Hotel du Village where everyone ate dinner in the amazing dining room, listened to the great toasts and watched some really special first dances! After dinner, the guests were brought into the dance room where there was an awesome live band, dessert and plenty of room to dance! One of the biggest hits at this wedding however were the fire pits and s’mores making stations outside! It was a really pretty space to enjoy the fire and to make some sweet treats! Patrick and Geralyn had such a beautiful wedding day that I was honored to be part of! Congratulations to this amazing couple and best wishes for everything that the future holds as husband and wife! -Michelle 🙂 [Brad + Kristen’s Classic Wedding Manalapan, NJ] I love summer weddings! I was so excited to photograph Brad and Kristen’s wedding last month at the Battleground Country Club in Manalapan, New Jersey. We had the perfect weather and a gorgeous, green backdrop to take our photos. Even the ceremony space, which was outside, had the perfect combination of greenery and flowers to make the sweetest, romantic setting for Brad and Kristen to tie the knot! We started the day in the bridal suite where Kristen got ready, surrounded by an amazing bridal party! These ladies were awesome and always ready to help Kristen whenever she needed them! Once she was ready, she shared a special first look with her father before we were off for the first look with her groom! The rest of our day consisted of taking photos with a big bridal party with a lot of personality! It’s always the best when the bridal party has me laughing and smiling while taking pictures! Finally it was time for Brad and Kristen to become husband and wife! Surrounded by their wonderful family and friends, this lovely couple said “I Do!” Congratulations Brad and Kristen! It was a honor to capture your special day! -Michelle 🙂 [Deirdre & John’s Simply Sweet Wedding Somerset, NJ] There’s just something pretty amazing about a summer wedding! The sun is out, everyone is smiling and you know that love is in the air! I recently had the pleasure of photographing Deirdre and John’s wedding who have to be the most adorable couple ever! I knew last year when I photographed their engagement session that their wedding was going to be such a special day! And honestly, it truly was! John and Deirdre were married at St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen, NJ and they spent their first day as Mr. and Mrs. with their awesome friends and families at the cutest brunch reception…with an equally awesome waffle bar, just sayin’ 🙂 When they weren’t on the dance floor or singing along to a Penn State favorite (Sweet Caroline to be exact) they were taking silly pictures in the photo booth or spending some time with their guests. The bridal party was fashionably late however to the reception because of course we had to take advantage of the beautiful grounds at the Stage House Tavern for some photos. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were seriously the best ever! They were calling out poses for the bride and groom and pretty much making my job a breeze! You guys are available to come with me to my next wedding right? Posing assistants?! They all were such a fun group to work with! Congratulations John and Deirdre on a simply perfect wedding day and I wish you both all the best in your future as Mr. and Mrs. -Michelle 🙂 Venue: Stage House Tavern Somerset DJ: Marshall Moore of Elite Entertainment Favors: Leonidas Chocolates Centerpieces and Decor: Gardenias Floral Metuchen Hair: Jen from Hair Plus, Edison Makeup: Lois from Lo and Behold Makeup Bride’s Dress: Mill Crest Vintage Bridesmaids Dresses: Shop Theresa Nast, Etsy Groom and Groomsmen: Suit Supply and Neck & Tie Company Videographers: Shuttersound Pictures Wedding Cake: La Bonbonniere, Edison [Taylor and Doug’s Blissful Beach Wedding at the Henlopen Hotel in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware] I’m pretty sure everyone who knows me knows that I love the beach! So the only thing better than spending the day at the beach is photographing one of your best friend’s weddings! When Taylor asked me to be her photographer, I was so so excited! Taylor and I met at Penn State where we were roommates for our senior year…aka the best year ever! I met Doug a few years later when we were all back at Penn State and seeing the two of them together just melts my heart! Despite this beach wedding being in the middle of May, it was close to 100 degrees! I’m pretty sure everyone was melting the entire day, but no one showed it! Whether I was photographing the details in the a.c. or sweating on the beach with the bridal party, it was still the best day ever! The girls got ready in their hotel rooms along with fun music and yummy mimosas while the guys got ready nearby and met me on the beach. Taylor and Doug were surrounded by their amazing families and great friends and it truly made for a special day. While getting ready, taking portraits on the beach, or dancing the night away, there were smiles all around and everyone was filled with such happiness for the bride and groom. However, my favorite part of the day had to be Taylor and Doug’s first look. My assistant, and totally awesome sister, and I orchestrated the bride and groom on where to go and how to stand before the big reveal! When Doug turned around, I started to tear up!! He had the biggest smile on his face and he literally leaped for joy toward his beautiful bride to be. It was so awesome! I truly had such a blast photographing this wedding and capturing every special moment for Taylor and Doug! Congratulations to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Marple! I hope your new married life together is your greatest adventure yet. October 1, 2016 was such a great day! I got to spend it with some awesome people photographing my second wedding!! From the moment I got to the hotel in the morning, to the moment that I left the ceremony, Noah, Toni and their friends and family couldn’t have been nicer. Is there really a better way to spend a saturday than photographing a beautiful wedding?! The answer is no, there really isn’t!
Noah and Toni’s wedding took place at Masso’s Red Pine Inn in Glassboro, NJ and despite some rain, the day was still perfect. Toni spent the morning, along with her mother and bridesmaids getting ready at the hotel with yummy mimosas and plenty of funny filters on snapchat. We met Noah at the ceremony space for the couple’s first look, and it was absolutely adorable. After some awesome portraits with the bridal party and Noah and Toni’s family, it was showtime! The ceremony took place in the beautiful Grand Wooded Falls, where the falls are absolutely the spotlight…that is until the bride and groom arrive 😉 The ceremony was super sweet and it was perfectly ended by the bride’s mother and the groom’s parents introducing the newlyweds for the first time. Finally, it was party time at the Red Pine Inn! This reception was so rustic, I couldn’t contain my excitement! From the handmade card holder, to the succulent center pieces, everything was very natural and it was seriously the best! The newlyweds spent the night dancing, enjoying their friends and family and having a blast in their homemade photo booth! Like I said, this was a pretty sweet day! Congratulations Noah and Toni! -Michelle 🙂
