June 3, 2016 is definitely a day that I will remember forever…it’s the day that I became a wedding photographer! The beautiful bride, Serena, and I are friends from Penn State and when she asked me to photograph her wedding I was instantly excited, and instantly nervous. I had prepared for months before the wedding and when the day finally came I was ready for anything! So alongside my amazing sister (and wedding assistant) I made the trip to Pennsylvania feeling every emotion possible.
Matt and Serena celebrated their special day with their awesome friends and family at the beautiful Stroudsmoor Country Inn in Pennsylvania. Despite a little rain, the day ran smoothly and every aspect of this wedding was filled with LOVE. From when the groom saw his adorable son while getting ready at the hotel, to when the bride tearfully read the sweetest vows and there wasn’t a dry eye. Every part of Matt and Serena’s wedding was thoughtful, unique and super romantic. Matt and Serena were so thoughtful, that every decoration, favor, table and detail were handmade by the beautiful bride herself! From the bouquets and boutonnieres to the place cards and table numbers, every special detail of this wedding was created by Serena!
The ceremony took place at the Woodsgate Chapel, under a dreamy canopy of trees, and was filled with friends and family who helped to bless the bride and groom in a lifetime of happiness for their future together. Cocktail hour followed the ceremony in a perfectly rustic setting that featured custom craft beer created by the bride and groom themselves. How cool, right?! The reception was where the real party happened and all of Matt and Serena’s guests enjoyed the delicious food, the company of others and dancing the night away to all the classics.
I will never forget this perfect wedding that celebrated an amazing couple. Congratulations Matt and Serena on your wedding! I was, and still am, so grateful to have been a part of your special day. It truly was romantic, fun, exciting and filled with all the love and happiness that could possibly be. Congrats!
